The Consultant Interview

When you register as a candidate with AM Financial Recruitment you will be invited to attend a confidential interview at one of our offices. There you will meet one of our experienced consultants and the interview will take the following format:

  • Your career to date, including both high and low points to establish your strengths and weaknesses.
  • Your current role covering responsibilities and achievements to date and your reasons for wishing to leave the role.
  • The ideal role you are seeking. This is often a good opportunity to “bounce” ideas off us. We will offer our advice on the state of the market and current opportunities within varying industry sectors.
  • We will explain AM Financial Recruitment’s policies and discuss a tailored approach to marketing you as candidate and explain how the recruitment process will move forward from this date.

The Job Search

Once you have been interviewed we will begin your individual marketing campaign. This campaign will generally consist of us approaching a number of our key client companies on your behalf and conducting e-mail and mail shots to various organisations within the industry sector you are seeking.

Please note that we take the confidentiality of our candidates extremely seriously and we will contact you prior to submitting your CV to any organisation.

We ALWAYS conduct E-mail and Mail shot campaigns anonymously.


One of the biggest complaints we have heard about the recruitment industry is the lack of communication to candidates. Candidates often complain about being left in the dark as to the state of their job search and “never hearing again” once they have attended an agency interview.

We are committed to keeping you fully informed at every stage of the recruitment process. The consultant who interviews you will remain as your point of contact within the organisation and they will keep you fully informed as to the status of any applications or campaigns we are handling for you. We will endeavour to call you on a regular basis.

Preparing for your Interview

Once we have obtained an interview for you with a potential employer we will offer you a second interview with your consultant. The purpose of this interview is for your consultant to explain the role and the organisation in depth, answer any questions you might have about the company and offer an insight into the people who will be interviewing you. We can guarantee that we will have visited over 95% of our clients at their premises enabling us to provide you with an exemplary level of information about the company you may be joining. In addition, all of our consultants are experienced interviewers who can offer advice on interview techniques.

After the Interview

We will contact you promptly following the interview and provide detailed and honest feedback.
